OCCD from an early age!!! (Picture of me at 2)

October 6 2007 at 7:41 PM

Rick Gelinas

I was rummaging through some old photos today that my mom gave me. And I ran across an old photo of me. It turns out I've been OCCD since I was two! This explains a lot. Looks like I've come from full circle...

LOL

P.S. I added this photo to the bottom of the Excellent Supply home page

P.S. Now you know why I never got into residential.
I was afraid the home owners would really get freaked out.

Good to see you finally moved on from the old cloth bag Electrolux

I've also seen better legs pumping pedals (lol)

You were probably "born to ride" also.

Good one mate.

Cheers,

Shorty.

Rick,

I noticed two beds in the room. Did you suck up your brother with that vac??

It's funny I tell my kids that I shared a bedroom with my brother and they can't believe it... You didn't ahve your own room??

Actually I always had my own room. When my younger brothers came along, they had to share a room I was 6 when my next younger brother was born (Dave).

The beds were actually bunk beds (see the dimpled peg at the top of the bedpost). But they were separate at that point (I was too little for climbing onto a top bunk when I was two). I guess my parents were planning ahead and got bunk beds for my first bed.

My little brothers got that bunk bed later. My mom kept that bed set in a spare bedroom till just a few years ago when she moved into a retirement condo.

That old picture cracks me up too! I can't believe my parents caught that on film. Guess I was just meant to clean floors. LOL

Holy Cow

October 7 2007, 8:57 AM

Rick, someone mentioned the electrolux vacuum! Can you believe my Mom STILL has that model in "storage"!

I can recall being about that same size and riding the machine around....my entire lower body would tingle for hours after riding that thing around while she vacuumed up the animal crackers around my bed

I had no clue that I was the only one in my neighborhood who had a riding vacuum. In fact, I am taking bets right now you rode yours too!

Man...that brings back long forgotten memories! I am gonna go hug my mom today! I might even ask for a ride on that vacuum!

Now that picture explains everything doesn't it.

That is so cute Rick. I have lots of pictures of my kids when they were little vacuuming, riding a buffer, sitting in a mop bucks playing with the ringer, riding a extractor. Maybe it will rub off on them a little later in life.
