Punch/Theater cleaning.....

October 13 2007 at 7:49 PM
Homan, Fred

Tomorrow evening my wife and I are going to clean the carpet in the theater part of a movie theater. I am looking at using "Punch" in the 5 gaallon part of my TM. Should I put (I believe 40oz.) of punch in the 5 gallon container? Would adding some Tea tree oil help for some odor problems? How many drops in 5 gallons?

Thanks,

Fred

40 ounces of Encap-Punch to 5 gallons of stock solution should be fine for your rinse. Make sure you also pre-spray the carpet with Encap-Punch according to the dilution on the jug.

You could add an additional 20 drops of Tea Tree per gallon of truckmount stock solution for dealing with odor. The normal dilution for counteracting odor with Tea Tree is 10 drops per gallon with normal cleaning methods. But a trukcmount will dilute the stock solution, so I'd suggest a rate of 20 drops per gallon of stock solution.

Hope it goes well for you!

Using Tea Tree as an additive for odor treatment

October 15 2007, 9:08 AM

Adding 10-15 drops of Tea Tree to each gallon of end-use rtu cleaning solution will provide you with deodorization and sanitizing. I've used this technique effectively on NASTY stuff and all the odor was removed, and no odor returned following the cleaning. For moderate odor problems, Tea Tree can do a good job. In fact, there are a number of urine odor products on the market that have Tea Tree as their base. Tea Tree oil has anti-microbial properties, it also has solvent properties. And it's more user friendly to work with than a quaternary disinfectant that requires EPA certification. For typical odor treatment jobs, Tea Tree provides a unique all-natural approach.
