First Post here and questions for Mr. encapman

Hello all. This is my first post here. I hope to continue my learning here.

A few question for you Rick. I've searched a lot of your posts and been learning a lot. I'm also practicing with Releasit. Quesions:

1. On your spot removal process (leaving it dry and scrubbing for 2 minutes), does that work with OP with a scrub pad or is that specific to a Cimex? I only have an OP and do not yet have the means to buy a Cimex. I tried it today for the first time and got an improvement, but not what I hoped. It was olefin commercial glue down. I went a full 2 minutes coming from different angles. I'll look at it tomorrow morning.

2. How long does it take for Releasit to crystalize?

3. When encaping with an OP, how do you determine what to use for a pad?

Thanks.

Jeremy

Welcome first time poster! Are you using Releasit DS? How I like to handle stains is very lttle moisture but you need some at least get the pad damp you need something to emulsify and left the soil. I will normally do the surrounding area to dry my pad then attack the stain.

Use Ricks Fiber plus pad on most carpets, I use the Fiber Max pads for greasy carpets.

Encap spotter is also GREAT as well as punch, you'll find there is not one magic pill as you probably already know.

Hope this helps

Welcome to the EncapBoard!!!
I hope to see more of you.
Jump in any time.

The spot removal treatment can be done with any type of scrubbing machine.
Here is an article I wrote on this... http://www.cmmonline.com/article.asp?IndexID=6635489

As soon as the carpet is COMPLETELY dry, crystallization will occur.

For encapping with an OP you will get good results with the FiberPlus pads, a lot of our customers use them for that.
