Ink

I hit an ink stain yesterday that spread like a bad rumor.

Using cyclone and blotted but it shot out in a little circle so I stopped. The guy says it is a water based ink and it did come off onto the towel.

when I started, it was dime sized....three seconds later it was half dollar sized.

Can someone share a detailed method to remove ink? I have HWE abilities.

I do NOT think it is so much to be in the pad...but am unsure.

Get some ink-out by pro's choice, use a medicine dropper, and create a circle of the product around the OUTSIDE of the spot (Dont put any in it, just around it - this will keep it from spreading) after youve done that, THEN put some into the spot, and blot with a towel - try to get as much as possible with the towel...after that, extract with HWE - make NO guarantees that it will totally come out - after HWE, blot dry and spray some 50/50 releasit on it to supress any wickback...

I read on Cleanfax awhile ago to surronud the ink area wit water perimeter using Q-tip or eye dropper, then use peroxide on a Qtip and work towards the center. Supposably the water perimeter will keep the ink from spreading beyond it. I also heard VacAway makes a good product for ink removal.

Came OUT!

I tired the approach as explained to me by many of you in private. it worked. Well, it worked well enough to get my butt out of the noose.
Using cyclone and working in the manner described, the "spreading" was removed. In other words, I got it back to where it was BEFORE I touched it. That is good enough. It was NOT my ink stain. It is now the dime sized spot it was when I first arrived. Whew!

OK, now get the rest out.  If you can remove the spreading you caused you should be able to remove the rest Phil.

The stain did not look like ink to begin with. otherwise, I would not have made it worse. It looked like a burn in the carpet. It still looks like a little black burned spot. Almost like something is laying on the carpet.
