The Chamber

My County is elongated and I live in the Norther tip. In fact, my area is perhaps the least populated of all. However, we do have a Chamber here and three or four others covering the county. When you join one, you are NOT automatically a member of all three(4?). The other areas are at least 25 miles south and up to 40 something.

First, is it worth joining one of these assuming I get involved with the functions?

Second, obviously, I had rather mine my own back-yard but should I consider joining all of them?

what are some of your experiences with these associations?

Join the Chamber and go to all the meetings. People buy from people.

Phil,
If you join, GET INVOLVED. It won't come to you if you wait for it. I joined years ago, did nothing and got nothing. I stayed in for 1 year. I joined again 2 years ago, GOT INVOLVED, and have watched my business begin to blossom. Volunteer for stuff, get on committees, etc. It will be worth the effort and the $$.
