Sipking the Juice

I understand cleaners are spiking their pre-spray with peroxide. Will there be any negative affects on the encapsulation process if peroxide is added to ReleasseIt?

H2O2 Spiking

November 4 2007, 4:45 PM

It is my understanding that with H202 (Hydrogen Peroxide), most users would be using a 3% solution.

If they are putting this into the Cimex tank and mixing with Releasit solution, the % of the H202 would be broken down substantially, depending on the amount of H202 added to the tank.

H202 also, it is my belief, reverts back to water in approximately twenty minutes after exposure to air.

What it would do to the encapsulation properties, I have no idea, I'm no chemist, but I always go with the old adage, never mix chemicals if you don't know what you're doing.

Cheers,

Shorty.

I never considered adding hydro. perox. to my encap solutions until I saw Paul Brown post that he added 4 oz's of 20 vol. to his for the lightening and brightening effect. I'd already heard Mikey P. say he added it to his HWE prespray.

I had some 30 vol on my truck on Friday and encapped a small church of CGD. I added 2 oz's per gallon to my mix and, tell me I'm crazy, I "think" I saw a desirable effect.

I'm gonna keep testing to see if it's for real, or all in my mind.

It tickles to the touch

Peroxide will de-fat the skin.

Turns your skin white, it is a corrosive.

Any nicks or cuts, it will make you wake up real quick.

If using in a trigger sprayer, when you put the sprayer down, release the top.

Also place it on an absorbent cloth in case there is any residue under the container.

I have had pressure build up in the container and force its way out through the sprayer sending a small stream across the carpet..............oops.

I have spoken with others in more temperate climates and it has never happened to them, maybe it only happens in the tropics??

Cheers,

Shorty.

Are you using liquid? Or Powder like Boostall from BP...  I have been spiking my HWE prespray with Boostall and love the results. Noticeable difference. Because I buy the powder I have been very leary of adding it to Releaseit.

Can you do this in pepsi sprayers?

Being metal and all, will a peroxide spike hurt a pepsi sprayer?
