OP machines

November 9 2007 at 3:25 PM

Aris van de Loosdrecht

For those of you who have used OP on residential carpets.

How do they work on the garbage ofefin/polypropeline sculpted berber carpets that all the builders seem to be throwing into new homes these days?

Seems like I'm starting to run into this garbage more and more.

What process and chems are you using?

Thanks!

i haven't had a problem with sculpted berbers that i can recall...the peaks and valleys aren't always the easiest to deal with, no matter your method or machinery.

for OP i've found Punch to work the best for me.

a Cimex will get into those valleys better than a Challenger in my opinion.

if you have a Cimex, prescub the Punch in with that, then follow with extraction using wet cotton pads and the Challenger.

thanx --- Derek.

If you use a Hot Knife it will be easy, e-mail me and I'll explain. raymoody@charter.net

No Problem

Hey Aris,

We found that no matter how trashed the carpet has been OP has done a fabulous job. Pre-scrub with Punch using a fiber plus pad and follow with a cotton pad, and the results are clearly amazing.
