Yes I clean them often I just use the Cimex, fiber plus pads and Releasit.
Just like normal carpet if it's been installed correctly.

As Rick said - you can use a Cimex. That's one of the beautiful things about the Cimex. Even if you were to run across a LOOSE tile, you won't pull it up and/or sling it across the room, like you will with any other machine/system. Instead the Cimex will just hum over it like it was meant to be. The Cimex will not upset a loose tile, frayed carpet, or any other weird carpet anomaly.

My largest commercial account is all carpet tiles. I used to use a rotary and that worked well, but since I got my Cimex it works amazing.

I take issue with the "any other carpet machine/system" statement, but this is Rick's board, so I'll not mention other machines.

Much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with Sir Loin of Pork.

Ray and Marty,

A rotary machine can cause a loose carpet tile to twirl from its place on the floor. A cylindrical machine can pull up the edge of a loose tile. An OP machine can jiggle it right across the floor. And a HWE wand can pluck it up from the floor too. But a Cimex will glide right across a loose carpet tile with nary a hint of tile movement - zip, zilch, nada!

Most of the restaurants that we take care of in my area have these tiles installed (smart). We used to use the Steamin Demon in the bad areas combo'd with the Cimex. Now we have been using our high pressure porty + wand in place of the SD, and have been using 800 psi to blast the gunk off of the bad areas. Never have to worry about wicking because you're only dealing with about 1/4 inch of fiber and then the impermeable rubber backing! Thats the one jet raptor you see, we've since stuck a 1500 psi valve on our wand to use, hopefully will get a glide for it soon.

I guess anything "could" happen Rick, but I've not experienced any of those problems with any of the machines mentioned, with the exception of a rotary machine. Even HWE will clean those tiles now with the advent of glided wands.
