Who is using the 4805 firm brushes on their Cimex? We have a ceramic tile job to do in a church comming up. I would also be interested in the solution you would use.

I have them. Rick or Dave would probably suggest using a stripper solution to clean with. I've done so, and it works. You'll need a grout brush for the grout lines.

Ray:

TCS carries Harvard's Tile Wiz, which is an alkaline product, and they carry Harvard's Tile and Grout Restorer, which is an acid. Both are great tile cleaning products. I would suspect that the floor being ceramic, I'd go with the acid.

We use those brushes when ever we are scrubbing with the cimex, should work fine for you needs.I've even heard that some will put a little extra weight on top of the cimex,if its needed though.
Go to TCS and pick up the Harvard product; One Shot-super awesome stuff!.Since we started using this,we have yet to use anymore separate alkaline and acid products. It is a powder but it mixes very easy.Just drop it with the cimex and of course, scrub at the same time.On a few heavily soiled ones,(I've gone back over an area and just agitate a little more, just to give a little extra dwell time)Once done, extract!

The best thing is that it can be used on stone as well.

Love powder

Thanks Mark, Marty and Patrick, I like that idea of the powder. All of the powder products we have in our shop seem to have extrememly long shelf life.

Glad to be of help, Ray, but those two products I mentioned are liquids. Don't know what he's talking about in regards to powder.

Unless one, or both of them, come in a powder version and I just don't know about it.

OxyBlaster Powder from Magic Wand is the only powder I have used in my limited tile experience, but it works well and also works with standard carpet pre-sprays as an oxy and citrus booster in one.

Make you own luck,
