| I am giving serious thought to dropping coin for one of these. I will use it mainly in my resty's carpets. I will also swap it out for my current Mytee Porty for use on residential carpets when needed.
If I buy one, i will begin to target rental properties.
But I wanted to hear from some current owners about the use, feeding and care...along with the results this machine gives.

Suddenly no one owns a demon? Or no one who owns one, is here or wants to share? |

The Demon would be a great tool for rentals, as a matter of fact it is a great portable, We use them all the time in our carpet maintenance division. Still prefer Truckmounts, but the Demon is great in places were we do not want to run more than a few lengths of hoses. |

Don, according to the specs, the SD will flush at about 3-gallons per minute where a TM is lower. I have to ask because I am curious why one would prefer a TM? No offense is meant either. I am still giving lots-o-thought to it all. |

I own a demon. (Well 3.) So far used them on CGD only. Have not tried them on resi. cut pile over padding YET. On CGD they work very good. No dry passes, with air movers, dry in 2 to 3 hrs.
Very easy to set up. Scrub the pre-spray with Cimex and flush.
Could get the dry times down I'm sure if I made dry passes. Still
new to the machines got them a couple of months ago.
Faster than a wand for sure, and hooked to a water supply no filling or dumping. Beats a porty hands down.IMHO
On commercial that's trashed or a lot of spill stains I encap after I flush just to make sure to take care of any wicking.
I don't do call backs.LOL....

Joe, by "I encap after flush" I assume you mean you use your cimex and fiber pads with DS?
I will be doing a similar thing only I plan to clean Via Vento and cotton pads first, then flush, then dry and ancap with Vento and cotton.
If I wick, I will return but am hoping for not wicking. |

Yes. Cimex and DS. If you follow your plan I think you should be fine. I encap after just to make sure anything that doesn't get flushed won't wick back.Doesn't add to much time to the job and it's sort of like insurance. I might not need to but Like I said I don't want to get called back. Not only for the added time but your image as a professional.

I am right in line with your thinking. I have been "going" back after dry time (over 24 hours) just to attack the wicking. Can I assume from your description that if I re-pad with encap juice, the wicking is eleminated?
I had so rather not have to come back. But we do charge for it. I use a new stradegy for pricing that seems to work. |

I'll do a section put air movers on it and continue doing a section at a time. After I'm done I'll go back at the start point
and run the Cimex over it with DS. Just one wet pass.No dry pass
Seems to work so far.Give it a try on your next job.
Experimenting is essential to get a good procedure down where you can employ it on all your jobs. Like I said before it may not be needed but from past experience with HWE on CGD I figure it's going to wick no matter what.So a little extra time encapping right after I figured would help and so far so good.
Hey but I'm still learning too with the Demon.
Hope this helps.
Any one else have any thoughts on this? |

Joe, it sounds like you are doing it right. That is a great two step method. |
