glitter during the holidays

Hi,
Does anybody have any suggestions for making the removal of glitter from carpet and tile surfaces easier/faster? We are experiencing a lot of glitter getting all over from kids(and adults for that matter) making craft things. Seems slow us down terribly with slower/repeated vacuuming, dustmopping/sweeping etc.
Was wondering about the use of an anti-stat? Would that aid in the release of the glitter? We are in a colder climate and are running heat now. However one does not notice any problems with static shocks, so it might not be an issue. The reason I mention this is past experience with CAPTURE powder and their static relief prespray for use when static electricity was making removal of the difficult in post vacuuming.
Thanks for the help!

A more practical answer is what the poster was looking for.

Being a school custodian for a lower elm school pre K to 2nd I see lots and lots of glitter.

Guess what the only way to get it up is on a carpet floor to vac and vac. We use backpacks and it slow going.

For tile floor, either a backpack vac or a dust mop.

Or you can go around and tell the teachers that your going to make them clean it up. This only works on the new teachers, the older ones know there not the ones that are going to be cleaning it.

Good luck, and remember its only used for the Christmas season.

That my answer is practical. Cause If he take a look he will see that the lindhaus is very well put together machine. I'm still learning things about it after having it for oh, maybe a year now. Things such as pulling the glitter out of cut pile residential carpet.

I must say that is an awesome machine.

But i guess the TYPE of carpet would play A BIG BIG role as well. At any rate it will serve him well to look into it.

I have used the 3M rollers for lint to do this type of removal. A pak of 9 at sams club is like $12. Yes you have to neal down to pick them up but it sure beats 45 vacumming minutes.

Maybe some one would be smart enough to implement such a tool larger and a handle attached.
