Caged demons

Their eyes are glowing and they do look demonic.

Joe, is this photo an example of your current three step process?
Pad, demon, pad/encap?

The carpets look great.

The two Demons in the back are 5 month old Dachsunds.
This is my sons house. Only prespray and flush.
I couldn't be there when he was doing it only stopped in to see.
That was last night around 9:00 Pm. or so.
He said the carpet was a little damp this morning when he got ready for work. Around 7:00 AM.
There are a lot of factors to consider though. How fast he was moving the machine how many dry passes Etc.
If you don't find the right speed you will over wet the carpet and soak the pad.
We have to play with it a little more. Maybe padding after will help also.

It doesn't appear to have a Greenglide on it, and in my opinion, any Demon owner needs a glide.

Ya Derek:

I can second that vote for the holed glide. It sure speeds up the drying.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you not to call them on your cell phone. You can't get off the phone with those two in under an hour.

did you prespray with the demons prespray unit, or with a sprayer. looks great, i havent been as successful with the demon yet, don't know if its my speed or what, going to give the glides a whirl though. also my filter gets clogged up pretty quick and that really slows me down, i prevac before i use the demon always so i don't know what to do about it yet.

Glide Arrived

December 5 2007, 3:53 PM

I presprayed with a pump up sprayer. The machines I have are the old (5 years or more) classics. I don't have any attachments.
The glide arrived today and I just put it on. I won't get to try it until this weekend though. It does pick up a lot of fiber and gunk. By it hasn't clogged yet.The newer ones I think have a filter sock. Is that what you have? Mine doesn't have them just Stainless Steel screens.

If you're not prevacuuming, the glide MAY become a choke point. That's the only thing "bad" about running a glided wand. It makes you have to follow the IICRC guidelines and actually use the vacuum that you have on the truck.

Let me know if that glide still allows you to pick up debris with the Demon. Then I'll know the extra flow is the difference.

sock filter

December 6 2007, 7:32 PM

yep thats the filter I have. The sound of screens sound so much easier to me. I have heard you can get disposable filters but I havent looked into it yet.

just looked at the glides. please post and let us know how they worked.

Marty,
I do vacuum before every job just makes sense.I am a firm believer that you need to remove as much dry soil you can before you introduce any moisture in whatever your cleaning method.
And besides I am certified so I don't want the IICRC police coming after me...LOL

I don't know if the screens are better or the socks. I never had them so I can't honestly compare.I'll create a new post after this weekend when I get to try the glided demon. This post is getting to far down the list
