Glided Demon

Joe Desmond

I tried out the new glide on the Demon today.
So far WOW!!!!
I was so impressed I have to do it again tomorrow. Maybe I didn't go slow enough or maybe I didn't read the clock right. It was to good to be true.
I did a section of my carpet cut pile. First off you can push the machine in the forward direction too like a vacuum cleaner to make dry passes. Couldn't push it forward before. BIG PLUS!!!
Second 2 HOURS COMPLETELY DRY.Checked it at 30 minutes and 1 hr.
Felt a little damp. 2 Hrs. done!!!
I am seriously going to try it again tomorrow just to make sure I am not dreaming.

That's good news. I sorta figured it would be a great addition, but never really heard from an actual user.

Next, I would be interested in hearing how practical using a Demon is in residential environments.

So far Marty I am impressed. Don't know if I wasn't flooding the carpet enough or what. The fact you can push it forward really makes a difference. It's not a big machine so I think even in residential there shouldn't be a problem. I will also check how much water I am putting out. The machines I have are old and they were originally set up for high pressure.I had to change the jets and hose set.SD says it should be putting out 3GPM.with the jets I installed.
More testing tomorrow.

Marty, I Have used the XL20 Demon we have in residential, and would not recommend it unless it is a vacant. They work great where you have the room to operate it. We like the CRB followed by the Steammin Demon on vacant nasties. Joe, I guess I need a glide also, could you share how much it cost and was it for a 15" or a 20"?
