| I recently started using encapulation cleaning and IT is awesome!!!!!
I have an iCapsol mini and using Releasit encap-clean. This machine
acts like a pile lifter and also brushes in the solution. While cleaning
the debris tray fills up with hair, dirt & other stuff (yes I do
vacuum with a tornado comm. vacuum). Getting to my question,
what do Cimex users do to get rid of this type of soil??? |

I feel that i rid the soil in the prevacuum process.
With my quiet storm i dig down in the carpet fibers and remove most of the stuff you mentioned. How do i know??
Well I did a post vac with my other vac that has a dirt cup and theres no hair in sight. Just the new loose soil along with the crystlizing polymers.
Besides that i see a lot of the hair on my quiet storm's brush roller after pre-vac'ing. (easy cleaning) You can get a quiet storm from Rick G. He sales them. Give him a call, it goes hand & hand with the Cimex/Releaseit method.
Thanks

Hi DK,
Ya know i purchased a back-pac vac Super coach Pro-team. I can't seem to find how this thing fits in. So far it tends to be more of inconvienience to me. I have to manage three things : the unit , the wand , the power cord. VS. the upright only push & pull. Besides open space, I can't see the conveinience in it.
Help me dk! I may be making a mistake having my bac-pac up for sell which only have 2hours of usage on it.
Thanks

What is the Quiet Storm? I searched Rick's site and couldn't find it.
Alex, I have the Super Coach also. I feel that it is one of the best purchased I have made. Yesterday, we cleaned over 13,000 s/f and used it to prevac. My guy was able to complete the prevac and them help with the 2nd Cimex in a couple of hours. One does have to get used to working with the swivel & cord. Main thing is to always work AWAY from the cord and try to keep the hose on your right or left elbow or shoulder. I want to find a power head for it if I can. Anyone out there have any suggestions? |

In my humble opinion, you could dry vacuum with any vacuum cleaner made today ... heck, you could dry vac with a number 6 blower ... and not get as much dry soil out of the pile as you can do with a CBM.
Until you've used a CBM, you really have no idea what's actually left in the pile after vacuuming.
Now, having said that, let me hasten to say that encap. cleaning with a CBM is nowhere near as effective overall as padcapping with a Defender, and probably not as effective as a Cimex. (I've never used a Cimex.) |

| Lindhaus suggestions | December 20 2007, 9:30 PM |
As a Lindhaus owner/user may I suggest you also get the extension hose for the the upright. It is really handy when edge vaci'ing with the crevice tool, etc. I think mine is 5-7 feet long and cuffs are sized to fit the European Lindhaus orifice and tools. Also another option if one would rather have the benefits a backpack offers is to use a Lindhaus PB powr nozzle and get a backpack that is wired for a powerhead(Sandia offers this and Proteam has the former Lil Hummer I think it is now named a Sierra?) and get the agitation(5000 rpms I think) great manuverability, etc. Also, if I remember correctly Lindhaus used to offer a backpack vacuum. I only saw pictures of it and must say the harness, etc. made it look like it would be uncomfortable. However, if I remember the price was pretty reasonable(for a Lindhaus). Might check out Pacific Steamex backpacks they offered a Stealth backpack powerhead that was a private label Lindhaus. Also look at Advance CarpetTwins. |

hiyas Alex
i only use my BPV for edging. mild carpell tunnel (sp) and tennis elbow make me unable to use it for vac'ing with it all the time. i prefer an upright w/ a brush roll anyways.
i only use the BPV w/ uprights that don't have a wand for edging (like my Conquest).
thanx --- Derek. |

| Power Nozzle for Mark Hart | December 21 2007, 1:01 AM |
Mark, for the past few years I have been using the Power Nozzle from Powr-Flite http://www.powr-flite.com. The part number is PF21. It is a 17". I am on my 3rd one and have been happy with them. The beater bar bearings tend to freeze up however buy the time they do the brushes are worn down and ready to replace anyway. I use it on every job 5 days a week and the Power nozzle lasts me about a year with one beater bar replacement at six months. The Power Nozzle costs $129.00 and the beater bar is around $22.00. Boy will you be glad you did Mark!
I'm sorry i have such emotional ties to mine, that i assumed its known to everyone as the Quiet storm.
They're nice to have. I have the rx-380. They have one that looks very similar to rx-380 Its known as the rx-380Hepa. This one breeak down to a back pac vac by simply unattaching the handle & bag portion from the brush roller area. A simple process. (sorry for terminology error)
Theres also the 18" cleaning path. but only at 4500 rpm
Thanx for the encouragement on the Super coach!!
Thanks
