Blind cleaning? anyone

January 17 2008 at 7:25 AM
Phil R

As many here may know, I am also a window cleaner. Point of fact, my company does several services in the cleaning arena.

We also remove fog from double paned windows that have failed allowing moisture in-between the panes at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

We are considering getting heavy into blind cleaning (we run several rather larger commercial window cleaning routes nation-wide). I know this board is CC'ing but wanted to see if anyone here offers a similar service. I am also curious how hard it might be to do joint-venture with CC in MY area(s) to couple these services.

Not that I have anything against the visualy impaired, but I wouldn't recommend blind cleaning. You really need to be able to see what you're doing.

Ultrasonic

We do blind cleaning with a Morants Lil Baby unit. Works great we also use there cleaning chemicals.

Picked up the unit on Ebay.

If you purchase the unit form Morantz I guess there customer service is ok. If you don't it REALLY SUCKS, They will not answer any questions unless you go there and pay to take a training course.

The last time I called I spoke with Mr. Morantz and he was very curt and quite frankly an a_ _. I had a simple question on the best way to set up the unit to clean light lenses (figured it out my self)and he would give no help unless I came and took a class.

We are in the market for an additional unit for fire restoration and it WILL NOT be a Morantz unit.

As you can tell this has really chapped my a_ _. I have dealt with tons of business over the years and never been treated like that, no way to get repeat business or good word of mouth. Now I'm rambling, sorry.

We have a system for blinds and light lenses that works well you can call me at 515-306-2468 to talk about it if you'd like.

Rick, that's not nice .................

January 17 2008, 3:35 PM

There were these two ladies of the cloth working in the crypt on a very hot summers day sorting out old files.

The elder one said, "Sister Mary, why don't we lock the door and remove the top of our habit as it is so hot"?

Sister Mary agreed.

Twenty minutes later, there's a knock on the door.

The elder Sister calls out........ "Who is it"?

A muffled voice on the other side of the door say's............... "Blind man".

The elder Sister smugly say's "He'll be okay Sister Mary, he's blind and won't see a thing".

So they open the door and let the man in.

As he walks in he say's "Here to fix your blinds Sister, err, nice boobs"

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.
