15" Mex

I have a few questions about the 15 inch Mex if anyone would care to share/comment.

1. Wondering what the production rates would be compared to the 19" (ie. how much slower?).

2. Are you only sacrificing production due to size or is there a performance difference that the larger one gives due somehow to the size difference, speed the pads are turning, and/or weight of the machine.

3. Do any of you use it for empty rentals? I do a lot of empty rentals/move outs and the 15" mex with tuways would seem like a good, fast way to do those.

4. Any idea how much better results I could expect with the 15 mex vs. my iCapsol deluxe?

Thanks for any comments!

grant, i have a 15 in. also but it is an OLD one. it has a 1/2 hp and i beleive the 19 has a 3/4. i have used mine on apts but only when i cant get to it with the bane.my apts love the job i do with the bane.
also you have to cut the pads down for the 15 in. because i cant find them 6 1/2 in. only 8 that fit the 19 in.for that reason alone i would buy the 19 but its probably heavier and takes up more space.
depends on what you want to do with it i guess.

Thanks for the one response, I was hoping for some others.

If you like ignore my questions and just tell me what you like/don't like about your 15 in Cimex, I'd like to hear it. From the post above it sounds like people get ranging from 1500 to 2500 with the 19 in, to get the same quality results, how much would that go down with the 15 in?

for hallways, I think it would take an extra pass, depending on the width of the hall. For wider halls then more passes are needed as the unit is not as wide as the 19". It also depends on the quality of the carpet the type of dirt/soiling and how heavy the soiling is as well.

Sometimes I can only get 600sqft per hour, sometimes 2500sqft per hour. Conditions, how many things in the way to get around and how much deep down filth. On maintenance cleans is is much faster than on restorative cleans.

19 in versus 15 in would be about 23 or 24 percent difference.

or 15 in small jobs 19 in big jobs.

never ran a icapsol.

let me know if you can get 6 1/2 in tuways.
