Makita Questions

February 4 2008 at 8:25 PM

Del Scrivner

So you guys tthat use the Makita for upholstery and stairs a couple of questions:

1)  The factory set up runs 7 inches.  How does that match up with 9 inch FP Pads and/or the bonnets you use?

2)  I keep finding more and more 9227 models that all come with different pads, bonnets, handles etc...  So which exact model and then what accesories/drivers do I need?

3)  Does Rick's Drill Driver work on the Makita?

4)  Bonnet sources?

Make you own luck,

My makita came as package deal from E-Bay new, included soft case, velcro pad, 2 buffing wheels. I use the fiber plus pads same size as my Cimex and Rick sells the tuways in the same size. Makita you want is 3 speed lowest RPM 600 for upholstery Ricks brush would work if it had an actual chuck mine doesn't
