Drapes

Buy yourself a small portable DRY CLEANING machine. Add dry cleaning solution, turn on and get hot and it sort of looks like steam when it comes out. Clean drapes in place and charge by the pleat. The machines look like small spotter machines. Probably run about $300- $450. Instructors showed us how to clean during our S/M training.

You should listen to Charles on this one. I used to clean drapes all the time when I worked for another company. YOU NEED A DRY CLEANING MACHINE. You should not be using HWE on drapes. You can ruin drapes real fast if you are not careful and it sounds like you might have already.

Where can one find those machines for $400?

sounds like you shrank them. Many drapery materials will shrink if cleaned with excessive moisture. You can try steaming the wrinkles out with a wall paper or clothes steamer.

Was this the first time you have done drapes? Do you have any training in drapery's? There are many tricks to them, not something to just jump into.
