Just over 32,000 sq ft bidding

Have avout 25 dorm rooms in two different buildings, 3 hallways and a auditorum thats just over 12,000 sq ft.
I'm wanting to stay around .20 there is some chairs to move in the dorms there is some bad spots, might have to move a few bunk beds to get all the spots but not all the beds.

So when you bidding a large job do you go any lower per sq.
if i can do it in 20 hrs that would be 320.00 per hr which is good money.

Hey Ades.

2 years ago I bid on a school district with a little over 100 thousand sq ft. The winning bid was less then .05. HWE was manditory. When it went to bid last year I didnt even show up. job walk took 8 hours and I cant work for that.

Are you going to HWE or encap? If it is going out to bid, ask if their only criteria is price. If so, run!

Some one will bid very low and under preform even worse. If you care about results, definately see if they do too.

No way would i HWE this when i have a cimex. I don't think they are getting other bids. Kinda have a inside scoop on this one. Yes i could go lower but i really don't want to.

If you get that at .20 you are my hero AND you are buying the beer at the next convention.  For 32,000 Sq Ft, you can bid it at I'd say .12, AND hire a helper at $10.00/Hour and still make an absolute killing in a weekend.

Make you own luck,

Ades, why are you bidding

on my old college? It's gotta be Barton you're bidding on.
I was gonna go in and talk with them, but if your bidding, I will back off.

Go get 'em.

Bids

Ades,

I used to work for another guy in another town. We bid on and won the contract for the college in that town every year. It was always a game though on how to bid it. Some years we just bid .22 a sf. Some years we had to bid .8 a sf for cleaning but apply protector on everything for .14 a sf. We kind of had the inside scoop on how they wanted to see it then also. Now that I have not worked there for 7 years, it is a little different. They will not let my previous employer encap at all. So he has to HWE. They had lost the contract for a couple of years and then won it back but they can not encap.

So, as long as you have the inside scoop then go for it. Just know that they may need to see the bid differently from year to year.
