I did three years or so ago...it caught on fire.

I hear they have that all worked out now. Dunno.

We have one. I don't know that I would buy one again. It is seldom used at our shop. Also, the heat option on that machine takes about 20 minutes to heat the water and so we never use that. Plus the fresh water tank has to be completely full for the heater to work. It is nice and small and really does what they say it will do, I just don't know that I need it enough to warrant the expense.

Kevin is correct. I purchased one 4 years ago when I first started my business. I thought the heater would be a bonus. It really wasn't. Plus to empty the unit you have to lift and turn the whole unit over. I bought one from Bridgepoint that I now use all the time. You can separate the waste water tank from the unit for easy dumping. The only modification I made was to wire in a second switch to activate the spray pump as I often use the unit just to extract and do not need the pump running. For heat just add hot water to the supply tank.

I have an Aztec, which was Bill Durras original design in partnership with Aztec products.  They parted ways, he made a few mods and now sells Durr-Maid's in red instead of the Aztec black.

It is an OK spotter, it does have limits, but does work as advertised.  My biggest issue is the dumping, the easist way I found is to:

1)  Remove vacuum and solution hoses.

2)  Go to  the toilet (or other dumping spot).

3)  Lift the back end of the unit in the air.

4)  Dump through the vacuum inlet port.

Yeah, kinda PITA, but if it's all ya got ya make it work.

Make you own luck,

David, i had a Mity One and found that the vac float would kick in at 1.5 or so gals. for the spotting and upholstery work i was doing with it. just not enough recovery for me!

i might look at Mytee's 6 gal heated spotter!
