Anyone know anything about or have any dealings with this Company? They want me to consider a franchise.

They manufacture a very expensive vaccum with a water filtered canister. Is thiis the same company you're speaking of?
I never used one but briefly checked them out. I believe they use a power wand as well.

On second thought i'm thinkig in terms of just the rainbow vacuum. I'm probably way off track here. Apologize.

Thanks

In the early 90's there was a Rainbow Carpet cleaner around Potsdam NY. They give the same kind of quality and service like Sears & SS. It's amazing that some of these companies that can't clean that well end up in Disaster Restoration.

Now if you want to own a real franchise, ServiceMaster is the way to go. They are well known, national advertising will get you some jobs, bright yellow vans, can't miss them, also advertised with Paul Harvey. ServiceMaster will teach you disaster restoration the right way and when you introduce yourself to the local insurance adjusters, they will most likely call you first.

Owning a Franchise = Paying monthly Fees, Paying a company to use their name, and the business is never yours.
Of all of the cleaning franchises I would go with S/M.

I think Rainbow contacts all carpet cleaners. They used call quite often when we were just starting out. It has been years though since I have heard from them.

I did get to go to their headquarters in Waco, TX and it sure is fancy. Now I know where all those franchise fees go. They also own other franchises like Mr.Electric, Mr. Appliance and more.

Personally, I like being independent. If I wanted a boss I would go work for someone else. I like the fact that I come up with the ideas and not someone else.

Service Master, well lets just say everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I will not voice mine here.

I'm at SFS this week and, just today, Steve Toburen made a comment to me at break that if he were going back into the business now, he'd buy a Rainbow franchise. He said that much of what he teaches and the procedures he has set up are used by Rainbow to teach and organize their franchises. He said a cleaner could get a business ready to sell faster with Rainbow that going it alone, in most situations.

And ... unlike ServiceMaster ... Rainbow sells exclusive territories, I think. SM will load up your area with as many as they can sell.

Over the Rainbow

Down under, a Rainbow franchisee had a small shop just a few hundred yards from my place.

The guys would never wave at you.et alone talk to you, but, that's their prerogative I guess.

They were doing a lot of cheap carpet cleaning as well as a lot of carpet spot dyeing and complete carpet dyeing.

They lasted here less than two years.

First one van went, then the shop.

Then another van.

Before you knew it, they were completely gone.

Apparently, the colour jobs and the quality of their carpet cleaning was not good enough.

This was over ten years ago, never seen a Rainbow in Cairns since.

Even the vacuum cleaners have disappeared, as well as the Filter Queen vacuums.

Cheers,

Shorty.

PS ::: Still not too late to book an airfare and jump on an aeroplane and come down to some sunshine on the Cold Ghost with Rick, Nancy, and all the others

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.
