Last nite the little nipple on the where the cleaning fluid feeds into the machine broke off. Where Do i get another one of those. Is it normal for that to happen? also i have been getting little holes in the feed tube there at the nipple also. I Have no idea what is causing this do you?

It will usually only break if it is jammed against something. Such as when loading the machine into the vehicle.

The hose is a silicone hose and I think with age, it does start to deteriorate. The hose and that nipple aren't that expensive to replace, just a bit of a pain for replacing the nipple. Get some large snap ring pliers. It'll make your life a lot easier.

Rick should be able to get those parts for you.

By the way, are there a few parts that it would be a good idea to keep handy, instead of waiting for them to break? I know you can't be ready for everything, but just maybe the most common little parts that give out.

Hey there Thomas,

Wow, Thomas you're on top of it. You're gonna hit the ground running top speed.

Get you some (3m weather strip) for when you bump the drivers against those custys furniture. You can glue your velcro back on.

Also get you something for belt slippage. After a while your belt will stretch or the cold wather will do something to it cause it to slip. Happened to me while in the middle of a job and it was a nightmare. All parts stores were closed and i couldn't do much. Planatary head would stop so i had to stop.

After applying the slippage spray haven't had a problem since.

Thanks

You can replace the elbow if you want to, the elbow is inexpensive to replace.
However - skinny fingers are required to wiggle it together..
I have sausage fingers, so it's impossible for me.

A SIMPLE alternative that's very popular is the "straw method". I love this approach because it is so easy and it works great...

Simply take a trigger sprayer from a spray bottle and cut about 3/4 of an inch from the straw. Insert half of the straw into the black plastic that's still remaining in the deck. Then join the hose by inserting the other half of the straw into the black plastic that's remaining in the end of the hose. (You simply need to locate a thick enough straw to fit firmly inside the black plastic pieces of the broken elbow.) The straw is used to shim the broken pieces back together. We have used this method on our own machines and I've recommended it to countless cleaners for their machines too. It's a simple approach that gets the job done well. And best of all, if you bump it again - there's nothing that will break.

If your hose is damaged you should replace it. The hose is kind of weird. The hose is a sensitive link in the solution supply chain, and if the hose gets stiff, if it's too short, if it becomes crimped, etc - the solution won't flow properly. I had a machine the other day that was driving me crazy, We cleaned it out and did everything to get it flowing but it just refused to flow like it should. I installed a new hose on that sucker and it worked like a new machine again.

As far as your feed elbow goes though, just shim it together with a straw. It'll work like a champ!

Thomas we keep an extra belt on hand and those elbows on hand. That is all the extras we keep just in case something happens. Personally, we like replacing the elbows rather than shoving a straw in it. It cuts the flow down to much for me. Maybe my straws are to fat or something. It has got us by in a pinch a time or two though.

Thanks, That is very usefull advice. I garuntee that i will be using the straw method. I was out on a job and cleaned about two square feet before i realized it was broken. Was definatly a bummer. Had to HWE 4k square feet instead of encap. Oly took about 4 or 5 hours longer then i was expecting to take. LOL oh well.
