Nice Ad but untrue
Rick how about playing the petrolatum aspect.
I would guess your products contain way less petrolatum products

Actually David the ad is very accurate. Encap cleans 300 sq ft with each gallon of rtu solutiion. So you can clean just over 1,000 sq ft with 4 gallons of water.

And I surveyed HWE cleaners to ascertain how many gallons it would take to clean 1,000 sq ft. 50 gallons was a conservative response.

Those numbers are about right. I even have one building I clean 2000 sqft of hallways every month where I use less water. That carpet is a very tight pile and cleans up great with less than 5 gals of water. This was my first encap job and when I went to do other jobs, I was using more and thought I was doing something wrong. I wasn't. Most of the jobs I clean use somewhere around 1 gal for each 250 sqft cleaned.

Rick the number are correct and I am not disagreeing with them at all. I probably use more water for HWE and Less for encap.

Hey I live in the High desert. Water is a big deal out here! I already market myself as an environmentally responsible contractor. I plan on using this less water idea.

My HWE water and...Rick a question????

March 22 2008, 8:14 PM

Being a porty user I use ALOT less then that amount.  I did a residential HWE job today- 768 Sq Ft, including the pre-spray (Punch via Sprint CRB) and RotoVac extraction I used about 12 gallons.  And the carpet looks FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never used a truckmount so when I heard numbers like 50 gallons for 1,000 Sq Ft it sounded high to me, but there was a thread on the ICS Board about this topic within the last year (or so) and those are average numbers guys threw around.

Rick, have you ever thought of editing the end of the videos to a slightly generic ending of something like- Just ask your professional carpet cleaner about Encapsulation cleaning, so we could use them as sales tools to get us jobs, to sell you even more product?

Wow, 12 gallons of water on 700+ square feet of residential carpet with a Rotovac? I was lucky if I did 200 square feet.

Of course I didn't have a crb back then, so I'm sure that would make a big difference. Soil suspension would be far superior, thus needing less water to rinse.

If you're putting down 1 gallon of prespray for every 300 sq/ft, that's 12 gallons of water to rinse out 2.5 gallons of prespray. Do you find that you need far less water to rinse with encap presprays?

Like I said, though, I never tried the Crb/Rotovac combo, so who am I to say anything. Sounds like a killer residential combo, though. I wouldn't expect anything but the best results.

Del, I'll have to look into putting together a video to help cleaners market to their clients. That's an excellent idea.

Great! Another item on my to-do list. Thanks Del.
