I sell them and have quite a few hours on the 3, 5 and 6.
For carpet go with the 5 or 6.
I know a few guys who can't live without their Rabbits

Rabbit-5

March 25 2008, 12:28 AM

The 5 is brand new. It has no light. It runs at 170 RPM and is super smooth.
It is not as versatile as the 6 but it is about $1000.00 less in Canada.

I can e-mail you info on Tuesday or just call your local distributor.
like I said, the 5 just came out this year.

It is a bonnet machine with a tank & 40 psi pump. (pump out the bottom or spray out the front)

170 or 175 RPM. Can also be used to clean baseboards or strip and scrub hard floor.

If you are going to do carpets then get the 3, it has two speeds and frankly my two speed machine has not seen 175 in years. Id be wanting to take a nap if I had to use a machine going at 175.

careful on the 3

March 25 2008, 9:39 PM

The Rabbit-3 is a totally different animal.

Different motor and no pump. Customers in Toronto who use the 6 would not take a 3 if it was free...I'm not joking.

On carpet the Rabbit-3 has issues with blowing breakers and fuses.

We've got some big gun million dollar carpet cleaning companies using the Rabbit-6. Companies who takre care of many many high-rise commercial buildings in and around Toronto

Good luck any way, Centaur Floor Machines is well built equipment

Call your dealer he/she should know.

A few weeks ago we ran all 3 side by side on carpet.

I like the 5 but everybody else liked the 6 with the light on it

In Canada the 6 sells for $3100.00
