Mac Question...

Just learning how to use my Mac...I've been trying to delete some files, but a login and password pop up comes up everytime I try to delete a file...even after i put in my password it still wont delete it, what gives?!

You must not be entering the same NAME and PASSWORD that you entered when you set up your system.

It may be looking for a user name that you would have made up...
Some kind of a fabricated nick name that you use; something like "cleanguy"

But it is more than likely expecting an actual user name like Joe DeSouza, or Joe's Mac.

That's my best guess.



If you need to call Apple, they're usually very helpful and friendly.

It's probably some silly little thing that you're overlooking.
