I added these handles because I have been having a terrible squeaking sound for weeks that I could not find. It has been getting worse and worse. So last week on one of our big jobs I just couldn't stand it anymore and for some reason I decided to lower the handle to the 4th notch. I have always ran it in the third. To my suprise the squeaking stopped, but the 4th notch is a little low for me and sometimes I would apply a little to much downward pressure and raise the cleaning head up some.
That is when I decided to look for handles. I got the ones that you saw above, put them on and used the Mex yesterday at a drugstore that we do quarterly. I got another suprise. I thought the Mex was easy to handle before but those handles made it a lot easier, especially in tighter places. Also, now the more pressure I put on the handles the more pressure is put to the cleaning head.
Felt like I had a new machine. Still am not sure what the squeaking was though.

I see posts from time to time about a ramp for the Cimex. Here is a pic of the one I have been using for over 4 years. I made it myself.

Congratulations!
You've won round number 1.
You now move on to round number 2.

Can you get some streamers for those bars?

Seriously though, those bars look nice.

Hey Joe, looks great but how on earth do you reach the trigger(s) in NZ they come with the two triggers as we don't get the on/off switch taht you have there. (Well, I know someone does have one like that but he shipped his in years ago)

No trouble using the trigger. I just use my left hand like I always did when I release the solution; when just doing dry passes I can use both of the new handles if I choose. Sure makes it easier when pulling the Mex backwards or maneuvering around things.

As John has stated the ones we have down here have the triggers on the handles and you need to continually hold the trigger down to run the motor.

Nice set up there..........it wouldn't work here unless we played around with the wiring.

George
