Pads

OOOPS! this should of gone in the post below.
I personally have never used the other pads but I have a freind in the business who has and he said they don't last as long as Rick's and are not
as good.
I'm constantly getting told to use different, cheaper pads and products by different people.
But I kind of look at it this way;
1. I make so much money when I'm pushing a Cimex that I'm not going to risk problems to save a few bucks
2. Any issues I run up against I come here or call Rick from onsite for help and if I'm using a different product how can i expect anyone to be able to help me.

Cimex pads

May 3 2008, 11:01 AM

I buy my pads from JonDon and the box is labeled "Cimex" they are cheaper than Ricks but I thought they were the same and JonDon just had a better price. Rick (or anyone) can you educate me on the differnce?

We only sell quality pads!

They can call their pads "Cimex" pads or whatever they want to, that doesn't mean that the pads compare to ours. I even see where one of our competitors has given their pads the product designation "FP" (I guess they're trying to get as close to our FiberPlus trademark as possible) LOL. I suppose I should be flattered that JonDon and others are so interested in imitating Excellent Supply.

We have always striven to procure the best pad material for our pads, since carpet cleaning is highly destructive to the pad material. Our pads have a stronger binder material than most of the other pads that I am aware of. There is a clear difference. I've heard from several cleaners who have purchased cheap pads from other suppliers that haven't held up as well as our FiberPlus brand holds up. Like everything else, you get what you pay for.

By the way, we are currently working with a pad manufacturer to develop a special binder for our FiberPlus pads so they'll be able to hold up even better to carpet cleaning. This is a proprietary formulation that's being developed for us since we go through so many pads and we have a unique cleaning application. The newly formulated pads should be available soon and we expect to begin shipping them within the next couple of months.

We're also presently looking at some new pad materials altogether. I'm always exploring alternatives to obtain the best performance possible from the pads we choose. We have purchased pads from 3 different pad manufacturers since we started selling pads - in search of the ultimate pad. I'm more concerned with getting the best quality pads than I am about getting the cheapest product. The pads we presently sell represent the best the market has to offer. And as I see ways to improve our pads even further, you better believe we're gonna do it.

Keep up the good work Rick.

I think some of us are so used to trying to figure out stuff on our own that when someone puts everything together for us, we can't believe it should be that easy. Either that, or we're so used to getting ripped of, that it's hard to trust anyone anymore.

It's nice to know that you are working so hard to improve what we can offer to our customers.

And of course, make us a little more money at the same time. That never hurts.

Hope you'll be doing this for a while more, cause I'm just starting off now.

I have only used the real Fiber Plus pads and yes the hold up GREAT. I don't really think the difference in the price of the pads for the money that can be made with them is worth it.

I also like Rick L know i can call if need be and get a answer about there products.
