CrystalDry vs ReleasitMay 5 2008 at 12:02 AM |

| I see Releasit has "DS" and a prespray "Punch". CrystalDry has "Extra" and "CrystalExtract".
Are these the same products just labeled by the individual suppliers? If not, is one significantly "better"?
I have a CBM (Whittaker and iCapsol), and have been using Crystal Dry for years, and wanted to try the Releasit, but did not know if it is for CBMs, or just the Cimex. I'm also trying to get away from extracting (if possible), and did not want to use the Punch/Extract if it needs to be extracted.
Thanks for any advice. |

"Are these the same products just labeled by the individual suppliers?"
LOL
No they are NOT the same product. Different formulations, different manufacturers, different companies, and different philosophies toward business.
Even though Crystal Dry makes a good product, the Releasit products cost quite a bit less to work with. Releasit products consistently clean better too. And the Releasit products contain a built-in protector.
PLEASE compare Releasit to Crystal Dry, or any other "encap" product. We've heard from a lot of folks who compared Releasit with the competition, and we like what they tell us about their results! Make sure you compare (1) the cleaning abilities, (2) the end use cost, and (3) the resoil rates. As they say, the proof is in the pudding

Really,
it doesn't matter who "manufactures/packages" Releasit. I worked for several companies who private label and package different products to different customers specifications, its a common thing to do, it helps the company who manufactures products keep their equipment busy , and it saves the Private label people the expense of having to purchase and hire people to run the mixing and packaging equipment.
The real difference is in the formulation of the chemicals. Like alot of you, I have tried sample chemicals from several differnt manufacturers, but the only encap product I buy is Releasit. |

Kinda like trying to crack the Caramilk secret isn't it. I guess you could always test your theory by buying a jug of Steamway and seeing if it even comes close to the cleaning and stay clean ability of Releasit.
Or you could just use the Releasit with the great customer support and not worry about it. Spend that goofing around time trying to make some new customers. FOCUS

Danny Danny Danny. That's the problem with listening to Jimmy Ladwig. Why in the world would you do such a thing? I'm sure you can do better than that can't you? It looks like Jimmy's giving you poor information again (as we all might have expected). LOL
Last I heard Steamway has changed ownership at least two times within the past couple of years. I understand the company that presently owns Steamway has their chemicals maufactured by an outside party (Steamway is not actually manufacturing chemicals for themselves or anyone else). As far as that goes, I believe the founders of Steamway had their chems manufactured by an outside source too. As a matter of fact, the majority of the companies in this industry have their chems manufactured by third party manufacturers. There are a number of manufacturers who will formulate a product according to a companies specifications. And in our case we are using one of the finest formulation fulfillment providers in the chemical industry! That's one of the reasons why we're so special
P.S. Well stated Craig and Rick T!
Compare Releasit to Steamway's juice.
Or anyone else's as far as that goes.

here in Australia, I first started out with Releasit and then tried just about every other formulation that is available to us............but for some reason ended back onto Releasit and have stuck with it.

| Releasit in Australia | May 6 2008, 2:39 PM |
George thank you for your feedback! And that's an especially nice comment, considering there are "encap" products in Australia that can be purchased at lower prices than Releasit. Glad you feel the higher cost of Releasit is justified in its performance.
P.S. We are spoiled in the US! Prices in Australia are at least double the price of the US (or even more). Everything costs more - truckmounts, portables, scrubbers, chemicals, etc. And the Aussies go about their business with a lot less whining than the boyz in the States It's just business as usual for them.
P.P.S. Even an 8-pack of good beer sells for $19

Now that IS depressing!

I think a lot of people end up being full of money from using that stuff. Is that what you meant? |
