Brush and Bonnet no match for Releasit

Just wanted to update my experience with CTI's Brush and Bonnet versus Encap DS Releasit.

First of all, I'd like to thank Rick for getting it to me here across the Pacific in 3 days, via USPS. I've had quite a few orders through Excellent Supply and things always show up at my doorstep sooner than I would expect.

Now back to the comparison. If you read my previous thread about brush and bonnet, it wasn't very positive. I finally decided to do a test dish and it wasn't good at all. Dried not brittle at all. Plus, it needed to be scraped off of the dish. My own carpet in my home was very stiff and had a residue for many days. Some parts still have it.

Rick mentioned to me that I would be very happy with Releasit products, even though it would cost me more due to shipping (brush and bonnet is available locally). The small difference in price really is not an issue with me. After spending thousands on equipment, I would be a fool to settle for anything less than the best encap product.

Well, yesterday, I made a little test dish. I came home today and was very happy to see how it dried. Very brittle, no residue, breaks right off the dish. Plus, it dries very white and clear, unlike brush and bonnet which has a yellow tinge to it.

Now, I will re-clean my carpet with the Encap DS. Do you think I need to rinse off the brush and bonnet first?

Moral of the story? No matter how convincing someone can be about a product, you really need to see it for yourself. I was totally convinced that brush and bonnet would be fine for encap because of what several people said about it. Now I know better.

One less thing to worry about now.

"Do you think I need to rinse off the brush and bonnet first?"

Thomas, you should be able to re-clean the carpet with Releasit and encap the previous residue. Releasit Encap-Clean is capable of encapping most detergent residues.

Oh and thanks for the nice comments about our service too. I hope we can help you!

Hey, maybe I'll just have to deliver your next order in person. I'm pretty sure my wife would be happy about taking a "necessary business" trip to Hawaii

Thanks Rick. Time to Encap the inferior encap with a superior encap. Kind of sounds like that famous account about the bigger snake eating the smaller snake.

Thanks for the heads up on my next delivery. I'll let my wife know that if she sees a couple standing on our front porch with a bunch of boxes not to worry (I don't know how to add a smiley face, but imagine one being right here).

Just re-encapped my home with DS. What a difference. No stickiness, no residue odor, carpet was a tiny bit firm, but no is very soft after walking on it for a day.

Did another home that I've hwe'd for years. Looks better than ever, plus took half the time. Using the Icapsol brought the carpet back to life as well.
