HOS 3-gallon Cartridge Bottle System -Change out premixed solution bottles in seconds. Eliminates over spills and reduces overall weight of machine for lifting and/or storage)
2 or 3 gallon Rickster? 2 sounded similar to some of the electric sprayers with jugs out there, so I thought maybe the site is wrong???? Make you own luck,

Looks great Rick. It could probably replace 3 machines that I have got right now. Might just have to pick one of those babies up this year. |

Correction: Yes, it has 3 gallon jugs. The idea with the jugs is that you can pre-mix your detergent in jugs and distribute them throughout the area that you'll be cleaning. I think it's a very slick way to get the job done.
You can also remove the jugs for easy portability. In fact you can remove the entire spray system in about a minute (there are just 2 wing nuts that attach the tank and sprayer to the handle and 4 screws that mounts the spray deck to the nose of the machine).

Rick, explain how the Orbot can be changed to a 20 inch machine. Also, what size is the motor?
I'm gettin more interested all the time. |

You can simply switch it over to a larger 20" pad driver and swap out the sprayer attachment on the front in a matter of a minute or two. The wheels will clear the larger pad driver, since the deck area was configured to run in either 17" or 20" mode.

sweet lookin machine!
Rick, when u say the spray system is removable, is this for those of us who live in temps below freezing for 5 months out of the year?
i mean, are the jet's and all removable in a minute or 2? or just the pump system?
this is one reason i havent yet bought a large OP with spray system, because i couldnt use it in the winter months.
whereas the Cimex = no worries of 20 below zero.
thanx --- Derek.

Derek, just tell your wife to get rid of one of your dinette chairs and park it by the table. Freezing problem solved! Of course, YOU may feel a slight chill...

Derek,
There are literally two large wing nuts on the back of the handle that attaches the pump. That's it. The feed hose has a quick connect at each end. And that's all there is to removing the pump. If you want to further remove the spray jets, the spray deck assembly is removed with 4 phillips head screws. It couldn't be simpler. The entire spray thing system takes about a minute to remove.
BTW Nancy actually named the spray system. Jeff was shooting me e-mails of the machine as he was developing the spray system. Nancy looked at the photos and said that it looks like a Borg. Voila! We decided that's the prefect name for it. Jeff liked the name too. So there you have it. The name SprayBorg stuck ...
Dirt will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Any way to make the spray system work with 20 pad driver and pads? I only use 20inch for me anything less is slowing producing down to much |

| 17" or 20" Size = (Same Price) | May 21 2008, 4:14 PM |
David,
We've sharpened our pencil and made a slight adjustment. We'll be offering the machine in either a 17" or 20" version for the same price. And then you can optionally change out the driver and spray head assembly to turn it into a different sized machine. (The conversion kit sells for $299 and it includes an alternate spray deck and a new pad driver to accommodate either a 17" or 20" configuration). So one size fits all. You can have one machine that easily crosses over from medium sized up to large sized machine (or vice versa), very easily and quickly. We think this approach will represent the best possible value to our customers.
Rick,
We are ready to take orders for these machines right now. The price we're offering is already as tight as we can get it. This machine is superior to anything out there. And this price is about as low as we can reasonably offer. If you're interested in one of these let me know and we can get one heading in your direction.
P.S. We have decided to start off having them built on a per order basis. So allow a week or two lead time when you place your order.
P.P.S. You won't be disappointed with this machine. These puppies rock!

You can plan 7 to 10 business days for production. And then a few more days for ground shipping. We're projecting that delivery will usually run about 2-3 weeks max from the date that the order was taken. And as we get these rolling along we expect things will move even quicker.

Rick, how much production work (SQ FT CLEANED) have you done with the new machine. has it had any break downs and how many hours are on the machine? is it slower or faster per hour than a Cimex???

| Re: 17" or 20" Size = (Same Price) | May 22 2008, 6:18 AM |
It seems to be almost as fast as the Cimex. No break downs yet. But we don't have a lot of hours on it yet, since we just got it in last weekend. I can tell you that the Orbot is solidly built and it scrubs like crazy. And there's no reason to think it will be any less durable than the HOS Vento has been (which has proven to be an extremely reliable machine). HOS makes quality stuff! If just you look at the HOS machines and compare it to any other OP machine on the market, the quality of the machine's is readily apparent. This machine is not going to disappoint. Plus it comes with a year warranty that covers any possible mechanical flaws that might arise.

| Motor? | May 22 2008, 8:32 AM |
Rick, do you feel that the motor on the Orbot would be adequate to run the 20 inch pads on the big jobs like 20,000 sq. ft. and up? |
|
Rick Gelinas
| Re: Motor? | May 22 2008, 12:03 PM |
Joe,
I think it will be perfectly fine running the 20" driver on larger jobs. It's a 1 horse motor, not a 1/2 or 3/4 hp motor. It's a strong motor.

Rick I am wondering out loud here, that this machine would be able to do hard floors also |

| Re: Hard Floors | May 22 2008, 4:41 PM |
It'll work great for hard floors. We can provide you with a T&G brush. It can be used for scrubbing any hard floor surface. And it can be used for floor stripping too.
