Daytime Work?

June 30 2008 at 4:55 PM

Joe DeSouza

I'm looking to target daytime commercial work as much as I can, so I can spend quality time with my family at night. I have only succeeded in getting some daytime work in hotels, which are more apt to clean during the day. What other places should I go after? What has worked for you?

Thanks!

Joe

Daytime Work?

Stores, Offices and other public places the only time I see cleaning them is early in the morning 6a.m. and they must be dry before opening or businesses that close by 4 or 5pm. Other than that get yourself more accounts and hire someone to work for you. Why don't you target strip malls? Lots of Real Estate Offices and small stores that might give you business. Clean them at closing time. Shouldn't take that long and you still have family time.

Target Dr. Offices. Most around here work 4 day weeks or a half day on Friday. I think all the dentist offices I clean all take Fridays off. Also I do alot of banks and you can get in right at 5 and be done by 6:30 or so. Many of our local small mom and pop stores that are open Saturdays close on Monday. With Gas prices many more businesses are going to 4 day weeks. Should be plenty of daytime work just have to find it. This is why I personally STAY away from cleaning restaurants.

If you want day time work I suggest you look at more residential work, book work on weekends starting Friday nights to start off while you cultivate they type of day time commercial you want.

Much of my commercial work is day time work during business hours while the store is open during non busy days Monday - Thursdays
This took me a while to get the managers DM or owner to come on board with but has paid off for me big time.

The other avenue is to have them allow you to come in say 6 AM and work till opening or 11 AM.

You can do resturants in the early am also 6 am to close to opening or some of them are closed on Mondays (upper scale)
Banquet facilities are also closed during day time when they are not having a function.
