13" machine

On the ICS board saw a thread on a 13" machine. A number listed the negatives of a small motor size .75 hp. Why not a Versapro(Mercury BOSS) Multitasker set up with a 13" apron/shroud can even get it in a dual speed 175/300 option. Add on 17" or 19" OR 21" aprons for larger area work/accomodate microfiber or cotton pads, shampoo tank, and unicorn weight kit and one would be set up for a number of options. Anyone, tried the Versapro or Boss machines? Would think the 13" setup with the weights loaded would make work of stripping heavily built up floor finish in restrooms easier.

Sounds like it may be asking a lot to try to expect 1 machine to cover the entire range from from 13" to 21". I'd think that something is going to be compromised. A 13" machine is so small, and reasonably priced, that it might be worth your while to just pick one up and have it available for the jobs that may require it. If you're looking for a really solid 13" floor machine, the Koblenz 13" will definitely impress you... http://www.excellent-supply.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=18&idproduct=259

Jani Link

I have had the jani link rotary for over a year and it has been a great machine. I also went to the bane web site and bought a cover with a post sticking up to add weights it works real well. You take off the cover that's on there three screws and put this one in its place. I've used it for everything and it has been a very valuable tool.
