Just click on the equipment in Rick's store and then click on the Cimex. It will be right there to save.

Because the mills will never put them in print form. If the mill warranty says HWE only than if you clean with the Cimex it is your ass on the line. Now I am not saying that the Cimex is not a great choice for maintaining commercial carpet, just saying if you play with fire, you could get burnt. Get a copy of the mill specs for cleaning the carpet and than make your decision as to which method you want to use. Simple!!!!!

In spite of Don Eldred's concerns, there has NEVER been a single warranty claim from any mill relating to a Cimex. NEVER!

But to validate the safety of a Cimex for commercial carpet care - we got proactive and sent a Cimex along with Releasit and FiberPlus pads to Professional Testing Laboratory in Dalton Georgia. Professional Testing is "THE" lab recognized by ALL of the mills as well as the CRI for conducting third party testing. Professional Testing Laboratory sets the standard as to what is okay or not okay for carpet.

What did PTL's tests with the Cimex confirm?

Professional Testing Laboratory confirmed that a Cimex with Releasit and FiberPlus pads, making 22 PASSES on a commercial cut pile carpet, did not damage the carpet...

22 Passes, and the carpet was undamaged.
I think that should be sufficient to establish that a Cimex will not damage a commercial carpet.

I think it's kind of sad for the customer because the warranty may prohibit the use of something like the Cimex, but when their carpets start looking dingy and dull, the manufacturer won't come in a give them new carpet.

They'll just say that they didn't take care of it properly, even though we know that hwe alone, especially with a portable on the 20th floor of a building, will NOT be able to physically remove compacted dirt and oil, not to mention detergent build up. You need agitation, and 100 psi trickling down at .8 gallons per minute will not do the trick.

It's so lame because the agitation from hundreds and thousands of feet stomping on the carpet between each cleaning will be far worse than what the Cimex does.

I guess clean carpet is not a priority of the mills. Dirty, dingy, muted carpet is their best friend. Quicker replacement cycles!

Can you imagine if the Cimex (maybe it doesn't require any imagination) extended the useful life of a carpet by 5 years? What would be the savings for the owners? Conversely, what would be the loss of the mils?

Sounds like a conflict of interest to me.
