New to the encap business

Steve

I am trying to incorporate encapsulation to my mostly residential carpet cleaning company.
I have read a lot of the threads on encapsulation in the residential environment.I agree that HWE(hot water extracted) is the best for flushing out the carpet. But I think encaps has its place.
Basements w/burber or glue down. Maintenance of cut pile after it has been HWE. High rise condos and such.
I have bought the windsor unit.(Two brushes)
Can any one give me any pointers.

You are making a good decision to use encap in some shape or form in your business.

The icapsol can be a handy machine in residential settings. Great to agitate the prespray in or for a light cleaning.

I would highly recommend using Encap Punch as your pre-spray. That way, when you go over everything with the Icapsol, you will only need to extract where necessary.

The Icapsol is also the ultimate grooming machine. It will leave the carpet looking nice and even. It lifts the pile so nicely, you'll never want to do cut pile again without it.

Just make sure that you let customers know that the carpet might be slightly stiff for a day or so. That just proves that the chemical is encapsulating as it is supposed to. No sticky residues left.

If you were doing low pile carpet however, I have never gotten good results with the icapsol. The cimex with fiber plus pads will do a significantly better job for CGD or Berber.

Once you enter into the world of encapsulation, there is no turning back. There are so many advantages to both you and your clients, it's a no brain-er!

Encap was never meant for residential, stick with HWE, if you go commercial than the encap is great for carpet maintenance programs

You are 100% right, berber and basement glue downs can be much easier and quicker with Encap! The orbot is the best machine for the job because or the 10" stair wheels and the ability to bonnet if needed!
