Rick
is the deck of the Orbot the same size for both 17 and 21 versions and the Pad drivers are just different?

I see Thomas posted below but I'll ask again any slow down in production times using Fiber Plus pads?

My wife is keeps telling me to just get something and shut UP!!!

Since i have about 50% mobility in my Left and dominant arm(it has Stainless Prosthetic in it) I tend to make sure things will work easily for me.

The other thing is my two sons 14 and 16 work with me so a short learning curve and easy to operate is a must. Lastly our main stays are retail stores that have lots of isles with product in them sometime. The stores are done during business hours, day cares, resturants and residential. about 60/40 split. commercial being the larger.

Thanks for the help. BTW I need to pull the trigger buy Tuesday the latest. New gig starting soon

David,

The Orbot has the same size deck, the 17" and the 21" driver is the only thing that changes. It's nice to be able to have 1 machine that covers both extremes.

The Orbot is as easy to run as a Cimex (which is very easy). Plus it has the absorption capability of OP cleaning. So it can be used for straight encap. And it can be used for OP cleaning.

The wheels on the Orbot stay on the ground like a Cimex, so it's very easy to operate. However the rear wheels on the Orbot are even larger than on the Cimex (it has 10" wheels). And it's 20 pounds lighter. Needless to say, it can go up and down a flight of stairs and makes transporting the machine a breeze.

The Cimex is an awesome commercial workhorse! If I was going for full commercial, I'd lean toward the Cimex. The Orbot also does very well on commercial, but it can also cross over and and do residential too. So since you're doing a mix of commercial and residential, the Orbot has an edge.

With the limitations in your arm, I'm thinking that the lighter weight of the Orbot may be helpful to you too. On a side note, the 15" Cimex weighs about the same as the Orbot. It is also an excellent machine for crossing over between commercial and residential.

Dave I can call you on Monday if you'd like to answer any questions you might have. Drop me an e-mail with the best number and time to reach you and I'll give you a call. E-Mail Link

If you do any type of resi work, you need something that is going to do some type of extraction. The Orbot will do just that.

Dont get me wrong, a Cimex is great(lord know I have had three or is it four, Rick knows)for comm work, but for resi there is nothing like pulling up that cotton bonett in front of the customer and them seeing the dirty pad.
