NEW PRODUCT Microfiber Bonnets

August 18 2008 at 10:26 AM

Rick Gelinas

We've been looking for the ULTIMATE microfiber bonnets for a long time now. We wanted a thirsty microfiber that was durable and also affordable. Well here it is. The Monarch microfiber bonnets are fantastic! They are the perfect choice for OP cleaning or bonnet cleaning when the carpet is more delicate. These blue and gold colored bonnets are the best we've seen anywhere!

Is this what would be used on, lets say, a high end residential carpet? I clean some million dollar homes occasionally, and the carpet is like nothing I see in stores; some even have flowers printed on them! I was always afraid to OP them, as I did once with a cotton bonnet and the carpet frizzed a little - the lady seemed to forgive me but that freaked me out!

Thanx

Joe

Never say never.

These bonnets are definitely a step in the right direction! But no OP or rotary machine can honestly be classified as 100% safe for all carpets.

Guys who do a lot of OP or bonnet cleaning will tell you that microfiber is easier on the carpet. Microfiber is preferred whenever a softer carpet is being cleaned. Microfiber won't tug and tear at the carpet like other materials are apt to do.

Nothing is 100% safe. But if you want the safest bonnet material, microfiber is your best choice.

I just started using Microfiber about a month ago on residential carpet and the results are incredable! They are much safer on residential carpet and they pull out alot of soil. The nice thing about them is that you can rinse them out and reuse them on the spot.

I don't have to carry as many bonnets on the truck now as I did before and this saves alot of space, and cuts down on the amount of laundry I was doing.

I just did my own carpets with them yesterday and they shine!

Any kind of a problem with the blue coming off onto the carpet when used with some spotting chemicals? Or can you get some in white?

Charles, I haven't had any problems with color bleed at all, but I alway blot out as much of the spotter as I can with a cotton terry towel.

We use the 19" on our 17" machine, cleans right up to the baseboard. You won't need but two to clean with, soak and rinse and keep on cleaning. They do not do well on extra dirty carpet.

Charles, the color is stable. Color transfer won't be a problem.

Del, you can't use a puffy bonnet on a Cimex.
You'll need to stick with our Thin-One bonnets for the Cimex.
