cordless sprayers

Along those lines I am currently using a cheap ($99.00) hudson cordless sprayer and seems to do ok but I have never used one of the better sprayers like Rick sells. Would I notice a big of difference between the two? Thanks in advance. Geoff

I've had a Penguin for about 2 months. Overall a good sprayer, but has a few minor details that need to be worked out before I recommend it. When mine was shipped they had been forgetting to put plumbers tape and tight clamps on the hoses so mine all burst while doing various jobs when in was new... spewing prespray in a customers living room on one occasion.

I took it apart and put clamps and new hoses on to fix it. Also the coiled hose doesn't retain its memory, meaning that the coils don't stay coiled once stretched. I'm already ordering new coiled hose to swap it out.

I believe the similar Mytee has these "bugs" worked out so might be a better choice at this point. The penguin is overall a good sprayer but will be better after they fix these issues.

I should mention I didn't get my sprayer from Rick. I would have LOVED to however I had no idea Rick was selling sprayers until I saw this thread posted. I guess the good news is if I ever need a new pump or battery for my Penguin sprayer I'll know who to call to order.

Hi Grant,

When I saw your post, I got on the phone with Sal at Masterclean who manufactures the Penguin. He tells me that they have upgraded the hose from the original hose that came on the original model. Hoses on the new machines are better than the one your machine came with. Sal said he'd like to replace your hose at no charge. I gave him your e-mail and phone number. Or if you want to contact Masterclean yourself, their number is 719-591-9008. They will take good care of you.

As far as the hoses not having plumber's tape, Sal said that doesn't make sense. He told me that fittings are taped and/or cemented. Apparently someone made a mistake on your machine. Again, he emphatically stressed that they will be more than happy to take care of you. They will send you anything you need and take good care of you.

Now you wanna add an extra wrinkle to all this...
Sal Muscarella of Masterclean (who makes the Penguin, SprayMaster, etc) is the uncle of John LaBarbera who owns Mytee Products. Although they technically are competitors, they're also "family". And they're both a couple of the nicest guys you'd ever want to know. If you get out to Connections make sure you meet Sal. He's an older man (kind of a grandfatherly guy) that you'll fall in love with.

To answer the original question...
They're both excellent sprayers. I guess I'd recommend the Penguin over the Mytee sprayer. Is one better than the other? They're probably neck to neck. I just love Sal, so I'm plugging his

Thanks Master Clean!

Well a big thanks to you Rick and to Master Clean. I spoke with them and they stepped up big time. Apparently all of the issues I had with my "early" version of the Penguin were subsequently fixed and are no longer an issue. He offered to fix mine and replace my hose with the newer version for no charge.

Great customer service there.

It is always a pleasure to talk ear to ear with a client. Grant was patient and kind in stating his issues with the Penguin.
Your care package went off today FedEx.
Glad to be able to make things right with you Grant.
I am sorry, but I forgot to put 4 screws in the box for the handle.
Your model likely will take 4 10-32 Phillips Pan head machine screws.
I will send them out to you Friday.
Thanks again for letting me correct the defects.
