How often do you need to extract when doing spotting?

For those who have done a lot of spotting as an add on service, how often have you found the need to use hwe with a spotting extractor?

My guess would be that the majority of spots would be handled with something like encapspot, a brush, and some terry towels for absorption.

Of course there are times for some other specialty products, but I was just focusing on when extraction would be recommended.

My best guess would be urine, vomit, and large spills.

What have you found?

Commercial spotting consists of spill strains 99% of the time. Spill stains can be handled perfectly with encap. In the rare instance that there is a bio-contaminant such as vomit or urine, HWE would be recommended. But bio spots are not very common in a commercial building. So a simple encap-spotting program will work nicely in most cases.

Thank you Rick.

The building in question is a residential building. Bio-based spots are definitely more common there. In just two weeks of carpet cleaning, there have been 2 vomit incidents already.

I plan on leaving a spotter extractor for my two vacuum employees to use.
