ReleaseIt and Scotchgard

I did a residential job today that didn't come as clean as I would have liked using HWE so I dragged out the cimex with some DS afterwards. I wasn't sure if putting Scotchgard down after this would mess up the crystalization of the ReleaseIt so I told the custi that I'd have to come back. I did a search on the subject and it looks like the last post asking this was over a year and a half ago and had no definitive answer. Any new info? Was this the right call or would I have been OK?

Uh...yea. I guess I was thinking the same thing. Why not just use Soileze? Seems like a no brainer to me.

Just didn't have any on the truck. Sitting on $500 worth of Scotchgard to get rid of first.

I answered that question above.

We haven't tested competitive protectors for compatibility. We learned early on that some protectors were not compatible. That is why we moved forward producing Soileze as a stand alone protector product. And since we now have a kick-butt protector that works seamlessly with Releasit, we haven't pursued testing protectors to confirm whether or not they will work in conjunction with Releasit.

So I wasn't trying to be a wise guy with my reply above.
Rather, my response was to the point...

Dont mix other protectors with ds

August 28 2008, 12:28 AM

I tested maxim with ds and it turned light brown when it dried. So I had to buy 2 boxes of solieze to protect myself. I use my other protector if i hwe with out encap punch. I love cleaning residential places with my cimex because it comes out so good. I don't want to use my butler van anymore.
