Red toner

August 28 2008 at 6:16 PM
Brad

Just got the call on red powered toner on CGD
They have only tried to vacuum it at this point.

I've read the posts on Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. 50/50 DS with towel, post clean with FP pad.

My question is with it being red if there is still a tint can I do a heat treatment on it to get it out or will that set it in since it might react to heat. Any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Banish with Vanish

August 28 2008, 6:52 PM

I have had terrific success with vac-a-way's Red Vanish on several problem stains.

On a DRY fabric, I put on the Red Vanish & agitate slightly, leave for a few minutes, wipe with a towel which usually takes most of the stain out.

Then I apply 50/50 DS and blot up, or, if it's on carpet, simply go over the carpet with the 'Mex; & naturally some more juice

This product is also an encap; product, so no rinsing is required.

Power Gel

August 28 2008, 9:10 PM

Red Vanish is good, another alternative for toner is Power Gel.

All you need...

Clean the spot by blotting with Power Gel mixed 20:1 with water. Blot it all up with a towel.
Then follow up by blotting the spot with Encap-Spot, or run over it with the Cimex using Releasit.

Rick-
being its in a tube I usally don't dilute, do you suggest diluting in a spray bottle?

You could dilute it in a spray bottle.

You could even dilute it in a little cup and dip a towel into the cup.

Re: Red toner

Thanks for all the responses,

Got lucky on this one, I asked them to leave it alone and not walk on it, and they did. Just used the wand on it, over and over and all the red came out. Sprayed a little 50/50 over the area and op'ed with FP, looks great.

Thanks
