New Microfiber Pad

August 29 2008 at 6:49 PM

Charles

I have a nylon brush but the pad after a few revolutions would not stay centered. Pad was wet enough. Is there a different driver to use or just time for a new buffer? White floor pads will stay on when I use them.

If you have a Vento/Hos they have a new velcro driver pad I have used with other microfiber pads. I just got a new microfiber pad today from Rick looks very similar to what I have so it should work with the velcro pad

I have a 175 with nylon brush and the pad didn't stay put. Just wondering if I need a different brush.

Don't you have a buffer made by General? If so how do you keep pads on? I can keep white floor pads on alright, but this cloth pad wanted to keep flipping off.

You said that you have a "nylon brush".

You won't be able to hold the bonnet to the surface with a "nylon brush", you need a pad driver.

And when you're using a thick bonnet, such as the new Microfiber bonnets, you'll need to use a pad driver that has good grip.

Give us a call on Tuesday if you need some assistance.

On my General for floor pads such as stripping and maintenance white, red, gren pads my pad driver is a stippled or pointed drive plate not brush, my brushs are on a different driver.

Here is the back of the brush that I have. The block is 15" and a 17" cleaning pad fits.

the brush side is what would be most helpful, If you could
post that side it be great and Rick and others could suggest the next step

something like the above links

We have been using microfiber pads for a while now with a 320 speed rotary with no problems at all. I have a 20 inch machine and use a 18 inch pad driver for the microfiber pads.

As David said, we need to see the other side to tell what we're looking at.

I looked at some of the drivers that David posted and the pad needs something that will grip. My pad just has regular brushes.

yes Charles that brush is either a scrub brush or a shampoo brush not a pad driver.

Once you get a pad driver you will be all set
