Cimex motor

I did a berber carpet at an office the other day. The Cimex was bogging at times. I Was using Fiberplus Pads. I also thought I would test the cimex on my home carpet which is a Medium pile carpet. It got stuck a few times on that and wasnt rotating. Is that a sign that my motor is getting tired?

Mine started doing that and I replaced the belt. Cured it right up.

What Honest Joe said. Hi Joe!

This was after i first used belt dressing on the old one first and got another 3 months of use out of it.
Just simply spray the belt dressing on the belt driver (all three of them) don't over do it. turn and spray til you covered outside diameter. Run the cimex for a few minutes and you're good to go.

In the mean time order a belt from rick and have it readyfor replacing cause after the dressing wear off you probably will have gotten all the milage out of that belt you're gonna get.

I just replaced my belt a few days ago using belt dressing even on the new one. works great. Just cleaned 2400 s.f. cgd tonight in two hours. CLEAN! A slipping belt is a true bummer. Lost time and juice!

Thanks

If your Cimex is starting to bind or not spin like normal, it's an indication that the belt is beginning to loosen. It's time to order a new belt.

Although we don't have any parts on the website, there are a number of parts that we keep in stock. And belts are one of the items that we have in our inventory, since they're a common replacement item.

I just replaced my belt about 4-5 months ago. Where do i get belt dressing? How many sf of carpet should be cleaned per belt? about 99.8% of carpet i have cleaned with cimex has been CGD.
