Rick-
Just wondering if there is a rule of thumb for when to replace bearings, belts etc. I beleive in preventative maintenance can you provide a preventative maintenance schedule for the Cimex?

Jeff,

I recommend waiting. There really is no need to act in a presumptive manner. The belts wear out gradually. They start to slip, and that's your early detection system. That's when you need to stop and say - hmm, I better order another belt now. And bearings wear even more gradual than belts. The bearings will click and grumble for a very long time before they ever fail. So you'll know long in advance before you really need to worry about changing the bearings.

Cleaning the plumbing is the most urgent ongoing maintenance requirement. That's the only thing I suggest really staying on top of. Your Cimex plumbing should be cleaned out on a regular routine basis. Here is a PDF file showing how to do it.

That's about it.
