Shorty

I book my flights through a large company called Flight Centre.

One of these stores I have been cleaning for over 5 years every month.

Well, that's not quite true.

When I was HWE'ng; it was every 3 months, and neither they nor I were happy with the end result.

Since I got Big Yella, I have been doing them every four weeks, at the same price & half to three quarters of an hour quicker.

One night I decided not to rake the pure wool carpet but to swirl a pattern instead.

Next day the manager phoned me and asked what I had done to his carpet.

After I explained, he asked me if I could do that each time I cleaned the carpet

No sweat.

Within an hour, the manager of the second store phoned me, he had been and had a look at the first one and asked me if I could do the same for his store.

Here's some pics from each store taken the next day after cleaning when there were customers in the store.

This is the first time I have used this camera, so be kind to me.

Shorty.

Ooroo, see you in a couple of weeks.

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.

Swirls....some people love 'em, some people hate 'em.

What are you going to do?

I agree with Tom, I've had some like the swirls and some not.

Nice lookinhg pattern there Shorty - very artsy

I had a customer with plush carpet in a very high end store request a last minute service because the vice president of their entire company was going to be visiting their store in the middle of the week. They asked me to schedule a special service for them that week so the store would look perfect for the visit. They asked us to come out the night before the visit. I objected and said, I think we should come a couple of days earlier so that the swirls marks would have a chance to walk out of the carpet before the VIP visit. They said "NO WE LIKE THE SWIRL MARKS". So we went ahead and cleaned their plush carpet the night before the visit. I checked back with them later to see how their visit went. It went fine they said. Moral of the story; I think we may have more of an objection to the swirl marks than our clients do.

Maybe we should all be more like Shorty with our Cimex's --- imagining that the carpet is our canvas as we create a visual masterpiece. Van Gogh would be proud.
