Cubicle Walls

Matt

Read up on some previous posts...my question is what kind of dilution are you guys using with the DS? When you apply it to the walls are you creating a light white foam?

I have done this in the past, but it was difficult producing white foam with out scubing real hard and using a VERY high mix of DS.

thanks!

HWE them and you will not need to worry about foam etc.

I did about 100 cubicles a couple months ago. I HWE'd the first 8 because they were trashed. THen I tried using cleaning by hand using a bonnet and bucket filled with ds and water. Hand washing was faster and easier and gave excellent results. I created suds in the bucket and washed with those. In the end I almost felt guilty submitting the bill--almost. I don't think it was harder then HWExtrating. No gas, no hoses, complete moisture control. When I took off for lunch I just put the bucket down and drove off---no hoses to wind. in fact I had to go back over some of the cubicles I HWE'd because of "something" wicking from the particle board. So thats how I would do it from now on. I was a little worried about the results until I came in the next day. I will never HWE cubicles again.

Mix DS at 8 oz per gallon for cubicles. That way you can achieve a light foam without using as much water. It really doesn't need to foam much at all.

I have used this method on a number of occasions and the results were always terrific, not to mention the profit we made They always turn out great.

Hot water extraction? It would really stink trying to hot water extract an "air wall" - the sliding walls that run from floor to ceiling between banquet rooms and ball rooms. By comparison, a window strip washer on an extension pole makes light work out of it!

It has always worked. The only caveat is ink marks. Sometimes the cubicle inmates like to draw on the walls so be prepared for ink. Other than that it is cake. If you need further reassurance take an upholstery cleaning class. You will find that this method is an IICRC approved method and is used for many different situations. Not for all but I find it works great for cubicles.

Good luck
