2 NEW RELEASIT PRODUCTS

October 2 2008 at 5:01 PM

Rick Gelinas

We released 2 NEW Releasit products at Connections...

ENCAP-HYDROX

A hydrogen peroxide fortified encap detergent for protein based soil and stains, browning, odors, etc. Anything you might want to use a hydrogen spotter for. It is an environmentally friendly product that can be used in a wide variety of applications - everything from the Cimex, to Hot Water Extraction, to Spotting.

ENCAP-BASIC

So the economy is in the toilet. Well we pulled out the stops and developed a low-priced encap detergent that works. It can be used where a "budget oriented" approach is necessary. This product has a less expensive detergent base, it does not contain the Soileze fluoro-protector, and it doesn't contain tea tree extract. When cost is a concern, Encap-Basic can fit the bill nicely.

HydrOx can safely be used on color-fast wool.

It can be used in place of Punch since it can be used for HWE, pre-spray, and bonnet/pad cleaning. And it can be used in place of DS since it can be used as a shampoo type product in machines like the Cimex. It can be used in ALL cleaning applications.

It's a hydrogen-peroxide encap formula that's excellent for anti-browning, spotting, protein based soil, and deodorizer/neutralizing - all in one. It will not leave any soil-attracting residue and it does not require rinsing. Plus it is environmentally sound. This new product will cover a lot of ground! We're proud of this one

Here's a pretty good description...

Any Chance of a Double Strength coming out for any of the new products? I have to say Encap DS has the most bang for the buck so far, but i am willing to try the Hydrox on some of my nasty places

How well does it perform?

Is it a specialty product or will it perform well in noraml CC'ing applications?

Are there limits?

Shelf Life - HydrOx

October 4 2008, 10:49 AM

Rick,

Is there a time limit on the effectiveness of the HydrOx in it's diluted form? If not, it sounds like it may be a good spotter to keep in a spray bottle.

Hydrogen peroxide will lose some of its power over time in a diluted state. However we have been testing this product in various stages for over a year, and even the oldest stuff we have on hand is still highly effective. Mixed in a spray bottle, it should last at least a few weeks, as long as it's in a sealed container and not stored in direct sunlight. A simple alternative --- mix it in small batches.

The scent that's in Encap-Clean DS will NOT make people cough. It contains Tea Tree which is an all natural essential oil. It doesn't get much better than that. However the surfactant in DS can make people cough if it is sprayed through a sprayer with a fine tip. The fine atomized droplets can become an irritation and can cause coughing. We formulated DS with Magnesium Laurel Sulfate which is a kick-butt heavy-weight surfactant. It's totally safe, but it's also strong. BTW Magnesium Laurel Sulfate is one of the reasons why Encap-Clean performs as well as it does! This strong surfactant can cause an irritation when it gets breathed. Two alternatives --- shower feed DS - as is done with the Cimex, or use a spray tip that pumps out the juice in a thick stream - a .06 tip or larger is what we recommend.

BTW Encap-Basic does not contain Tea Tree. Instead it has a very light fresh scent that smells a little bit like sweet cucumber. Encap-Basic contains a lighter surfactant and will be far less likely to cause coughing. Not because it contains no Tea Tree extract. But because it is formulated with a milder surfactant base than Magnesium Laurel Sulfate.

How would using HydrOX as a spotter at 3:1 dilution compare to using Encap Spot?

Re: 2 NEW RELEASIT PRODUCTS

Different chemistry altogether.

Encap-Spot is an excellent Multi-Spotter for a wide variety of spots!
It can be used on just about any soil type, including oils and petroleum based soil, etc.

Encap-HydrOx gets its cleaning power from Hydrogen Peroxide in a surfactant base.
It is ideal for brown spots, urine, vomit, coffee, red wine, protein soil, odors, etc.
Encap-HydrOx also brightens the fiber naturally.

Wanna try something cool? These two products together make a killer spotting combination!
Hit a spot with a dilution of Encap-HydrOx first. Then finish off the spot with Encap-Spot.
The Encap-HydrOx will get an added "kick" from Encap-Spot (kind of like "Stain Magic").
This 2 part combination in tandem will remove practically any water soluble spot.

It sounds like with the combination of EncapSpot and Hydrox, you will almost never need to extract spots, barring a large bio spill. The bio spots were the ones I was most worried about, but it sounds like Hydrox will take care of those now. Awesome!

That 2 step combo sounds pretty cool as well.

Also, it sounds like it would be a great product to use to OP in a residential setting.
