Linen Sofa

October 7 2008 at 11:52 PM
Brad

I got a call on a Linen sofa that the owner says is worth $12,000 is 17 feet long and has a layer of goose down feathers in it. She needs it cleaned from moving, the movers unwrapped it when loading it in an elevator, not grease just dirt from the carpet.

I'm going to look at it and do a test section on it tomorrow. Any input, suggestions, warnings would be great. Or should I just turn and run.

Rick - I just received a case of your new HydrOx, would this be good in this application?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Brad Lewis

Inspect the tag first. You may even want to just use the suds from Releasit DS and sponge. If you have a vapor steamer lower the psi to almost nothing and that should also work. Let us know. And ALWAYS pretest.

suds and sponge or bonnet. As low moisture as you can get away with. Don't forget to charge accordingly. a 12000 dollar sofa will cost a heck of a lot more to clean than a $300 sofa.
