You could heat them up with a hair dry and see if the expand enough to side further. ???

Hair spray

A little history on the encapman:

I started selling newspapers when I was 10, got a paper route when I was 11, started working in bike shops when I was 14, and started my cleaning business when I was 21.

This helps to explain my entrepreneurial bend. And after 7 years working in bike shops I can also share a trick that mechanics use to put on bike grips...

Hair spray. All the best bike mechanics use hair spray. That accounts for their great looking hair. After all, you don't want your hair blowing around when you're out for a test ride on a customer's bike.

Seriously though... the hair spray helps the grips to slide onto the bars and lock tight. Give it a shot.

Another trick is to use an air compressor.
Put the palm of one hand over the opposite end, start the grip on the other side and with an air chuck blow air thru the hole in the end of the grip and slid it on.
Just an option, if you don't have any hair spray on you.
Rick, now I know how you keep your hair looking so good.

Thanks

Air compressor 1st, then i will try the hair dryer
