A Hammer Drill?

For cleaning carpet? A Makita 9227-C is top of line, around $200

Try these they have worked well for me.

1. Drill: Craftsmen Cordless Drill, A-OK for small jobs: a few stairs, agitate a few chairs, etc...   Has the side handle for torque control, but not a hammer drill.

2. I always run on a budget.  My version of Ray's Makita...Harbor Freight/Chicago Tools normally $39.00, goes on sale about 4 times a year for $29.00.  I have three, but have never had to get out either of the back ups yet.  For me it beats $250.00.

Shorty has a very nice set up for his "Little Mak".  Do a search here on "Little Mak" for details.

Uh-oh

Hi Paul,
sometimes, the American, UK & Aussie terminology gets misconstrued.

What they mean is that they clean carpeted stairs with their system of either a drill, or a variable speed polisher.

They don't clean entire carpet with these tools.

I use a Makita variable speed polisher daily to clean upholstery, and also some sisal floor mats.

Think outside the box mate, uses for cleaning with encapsulation is only limited by your imagination.

There are a lot of enormously generous people on this forum that will bend over backwards to help you out with any problem you may encounter.

All you have to do is ask.

I wish I could have a quid for every dumb question I've asked over the years.

Not once have I ever been refused an answer.

Good luck in your encap; cleaning.

Ooroo,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways. wink.gif
