Releasit DS does it again

November 24 2008 at 10:51 AM
Joe M

I had some free time this past weekend and decided to clean my sofa and Lay Z Boy. With three kids and a dog, things get a little dirty.

Well, I whiped up some DS in a bucket and used the foam and a horse hair brush, toweled off. Went out for about two hours and when I came home both items were dry and looked like new.

I gave my self a bill for 100.00

No wonder yer not makin' any money.

Yer workin' far too cheap.

I woulda charged meself $200.00 for that at least. happy.gif

Plus I woulda chucked some Soileze over them an' charged even more. wink.gif

Crikey, I gotta tell yews blokes everyting ?

Good job mate, now try it with a Makita polisher and you'll really be surprised at the end result.

Towelling the fabric off after, is the key to soil removal in fabrics.

Ooroo,

Yah, but if he paid himself $200 he would also be in debt another $100 as well...never mind.

As for toweling off, anyone tried using those microfiber wash car wash mittens. Seems like the hardest thing when toweling off is that the towel rolls up all the time.

I tried the mittens, and it is way easier.

I use the mittens for carpet edges sometimes. cause with the edge brush I bang up the base boards. And when custys hear that they want to inspect.

Thanks

Here we go again

November 25 2008, 12:38 AM

I really don't mind.

BUT, I can't get those mittens down under.

I just lives in a small town, over a thousand miles from my capital city sad.gif

But anyhow's this is what we does with da towel before we throw it in wink.gif

I fold it into squares, then scrunch the back up with my super strong grip.

I then towel over the fabric.

'cos it's folded & I'm holding the back of it, the towel can't roll up.

We I first started towelling of, yes, it did roll up, so I devised this plan of attack which has worked for me so far.

Now if you guys try this over there and it don'r work, blame the down under 14 pounds per square inch at sea level atmospheric pressure.

This down under thing also affects our water, making it go in a different direction to yours, which will probably help to unfold the towel if my thinking is correct at this point in time wink.gif

Ooroo,

Ok, what is an edge brush for the Cimex?

I use those microfiber mitts for cleaning upholstry, it works great. Get the thicker more expensive type they work better, than the thinner ones.
